Brought in after the 1931 merger in 1939 the 211 was the Columbia equivalent of the HMV 88. Whilst an improvement on the earlier model 205 it was never the less of fairly poor quality with a budget No. 24 soundbox and no bearings in the tonearm. The 211 was the last Columbia and the last EMI acoustic gramophone listed for the home market in 1961.
THe 211 is no longer in my collection it remains on the site for information purposes.
